Opening a Checking Account

Welcome to Broad Financial. Now that you have received your Solo 401k or IRA LLC binder, the next step is for you to open a checking account to hold your retirement funds.

You can either go to a local bank to open the checking account, or you can open a checking account with TD Ameritrade, from the comfort of your home. Here is how:

Solo 401k

Here is what you will need to submit to TD Ameritrade to open your checking account:

Here is how to submit your completed application package:

  1. Complete and sign the Trust Account Application.
  2. Complete and sign the Check/Debit Card Application.
  3. Open your binder to the “Plan” section, then just after the 6-page Table of Contents, you will find “Article I” which is 14-pages long (pages I-1 through I-14). Sign and date page I-14, remove these 14-pages, and add them to the above two items.
